New 2021 KTM 125 Duke Launched In India

The all-new 2021 KTM 125 Duke has been launched in the Indian market at a price of INR 1.5 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The KTM 125 Duke gets revised styling for 2021: a completely new look inspired by its elder siblings, the 200, 250, and the 390 Duke.  The all-new 125 Duke will get the same bodywork, headlight, and digital instrument console as the 200 Duke.Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd., said "Spawned from the 1290 beast itself and packed full of Duke attitude, the KTM 125 DUKE exudes qualities never seen in this category before. The ultra-lightweight trellis frame and subframe provide razor-sharp control, and the new styling is an absolute head turner. The launch of KTM 125 DUKE in late 2018 had been a point of inflection for KTM’s stronghold amongst the young biking enthusiasts in India. Upgrading that model with this new all capable entry level KTM is another testimony of the brand’s commitment to bringing pure performance to its valued customers."In terms of powertrain, the 125 Duke will be powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 14 bhp and 12Nm of peak torque.  The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The bike's fuel tank capacity has now increased to 13.5-litres and the bike now weighs 7 kg more at 159 kg. Also, the seat height has gone up from 818mm to 822mm. The updated KTM 125 Duke gets two colours- Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.Suspension duties on the Duke 125 are handled by 43mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear.  Although the wheels, brakes, USD front fork and monoshock are the same as before, the new 125 Duke gets a bolt-on rear subframe. It continues to be wrapped with MRF tires on the 17-inch alloy wheels. Braking is done via a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear supported by a single-channel ABS as standard. The 125 Duke is the only motorcycle in the 125cc segment to get a single-channel ABS.
